KRAMBU and Supermicro Partner to Build the Future of Sustainable AI Data Center Infrastructure

At KRAMBU, we’re on a mission to reimagine what data centers can be—and that future just took a major step forward. We’re proud to announce a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI), a global leader in energy-efficient computing, to co-develop next-generation AI data centers powered by clean energy, cooled with liquid, and built to regenerate.

A Shared Vision for Green AI Infrastructure

Our collaboration is anchored by Supermicro’s Data Center Building Block Solutions (DCBBS), a modular, end-to-end architecture that enables rapid scaling of AI infrastructure—from individual GPUs to full racks and facility-level systems. Combined with KRAMBU’s proprietary direct liquid cooling, waste heat recapture, and green hydrogen energy systems, we’re laying the groundwork for data centers that don’t just consume—they contribute.

“This relationship accelerates our shared mission to deliver AI infrastructure that is not only high-performance, but also fundamentally regenerative,” said Travis Jank, President and Founder of KRAMBU.

These are not traditional server farms. These are AI factories—clean, efficient, and tightly integrated into their environment. By eliminating synthetic refrigerants and capturing heat for use in agriculture and energy generation, we’re redefining sustainability at hyperscale.

“We’re not just building data centers—we’re building clean energy ecosystems engineered to solve real-world challenges,” added Steve Wood, CEO of KRAMBU.

Where It’s Happening

The partnership’s first major rollouts will include KRAMBU’s upcoming 100MW site in Montana and the 1.21GW hyperscale facility in Pennsylvania. Both campuses will leverage the full power of Supermicro’s DCBBS platform, integrated with our hydrovaporization cooling, on-site renewable energy, and AI-optimized infrastructure.

Together, KRAMBU and Supermicro are proving that sustainability and performance can go hand-in-hand—and that the next generation of AI infrastructure can help power a greener, more resilient future.
