KRAMBU Announces Development of Next-Generation AI Factory in Montana

KRAMBU, Inc. is redefining what data centers can be. With the announcement of its next-generation AI Factory in Montana, the company is making a bold leap forward in sustainable high-performance computing—fusing direct liquid cooling, renewable energy, and industrial symbiosis into one unified vision.

This isn’t just a data center—it’s an ecosystem.

Designed for scalability and engineered with precision, the new facility will support high-density AI and HPC workloads using KRAMBU’s advanced direct liquid-cooled server technology. Traditional refrigerants are out. Green hydrogen, solar, and biomass-to-energy are in. Waste heat won’t be wasted—it will be repurposed to power agriculture, industrial partners, and community-scale operations.

“We’re building more than an AI facility—we’re creating a sustainable, high-density compute ecosystem that powers innovation and gives back to the community,” said Travis Jank, President and Founder of KRAMBU.

The Montana campus will serve as the flagship deployment of KRAMBU’s Industrial Symbiosis Model, where digital infrastructure operates in harmony with its surroundings. Plans include:

  • On-site generation of renewable energy (solar, biomass, and hydrogen)
  • Grid-enhancing natural gas co-generation
  • Waste heat capture for local reuse
  • Energy-optimized workload orchestration for AI platforms
  • Expansion-ready infrastructure for future compute halls and co-located industries

“It’s about more than compute—it’s about redefining what data centers can be,” said Steve Wood, CEO of KRAMBU. “With liquid cooling, on-site renewables, and integrated community benefits, we’re building infrastructure that works in harmony with its environment—and becomes a long-term asset for the region.”

The Montana project reflects KRAMBU’s mission to transform stranded or underutilized industrial sites into regenerative digital infrastructure—turning brownfields into AI powerhouses that serve local communities and global innovation at once.
