Marquis Who's Who Honors Travis Jank for Expertise in High-Performance Computing

Travis Jank Recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for Excellence in High-Performance Computing and Data Center Innovation

We’re proud to share that our President and Founder, Travis Jank, has been named to Marquis Who’s Who, a prestigious biographical registry that honors leaders with proven impact, visibility, and innovation in their fields.

With a career spanning over two decades, Travis is widely recognized as a pioneering force in high-performance computing, advanced cooling systems, and sustainable data center design. His inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who reflects not only his technical contributions but also his visionary leadership at Krambu and across the broader computing industry.

A Track Record of Innovation

Since founding Krambu and stepping into the CEO role in 2019, Travis has led the company through a transformative period—designing next-generation GPU server platforms, forging key partnerships in the AI sector, and redefining the role data centers can play in environmental stewardship. Under his leadership, Krambu developed and deployed proprietary liquid cooling systems, supported rack densities up to 132kW, and helped pave the way for carbon-conscious compute infrastructure.

His influence extends back even further. From 2006 to 2017, Travis served as a performance consultant for Intel and NVIDIA, breaking world records using cryogenic cooling systems and demonstrating extreme-performance platforms at global industry events. He also played a foundational role in building the ASUS Republic of Gamers brand and was featured in an Intel documentary for building the world’s fastest, smallest, and coldest computer—cooled to over -320°F.

Leadership Rooted in Engineering and Purpose

Travis’s journey is built on deep technical expertise, a passion for sustainability, and a relentless drive to push boundaries. His educational background in business and HVACR helped him develop a unique approach to thermal engineering—turning cooling from a cost center into an opportunity for reuse, regeneration, and efficiency.

He holds multiple U.S. patents for power and thermal distribution technologies, and in 2016 received Intel’s Golden Screwdriver Award, recognizing his outstanding contributions to performance hardware innovation.

Giving Back and Looking Forward

Beyond engineering, Travis is a mentor and public speaker, having delivered talks at Gonzaga University, high schools, and Maker Faire events nationwide. His story—from high school entrepreneur to recognized industry leader—is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when technical mastery meets bold vision.

Today, Travis continues to lead Krambu as it scales a revolutionary cooling technology designed to eliminate synthetic refrigerants and slash energy consumption—contributing to a future of regenerative, high-density computing infrastructure.

We’re honored to celebrate this well-earned recognition and excited for what’s next.
